Today’s post includes those releases and updates that have come out since May 10, 2021, including a new batch of Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL versions, the Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL Operator v0.1.0, and Percona Server for MySQL 8.0.23-14.
Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 13.3
On May 20, 2021, we released Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 13.3. It is a collection of tools to assist you in managing PostgreSQL. Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL installs PostgreSQL and complements it by a selection of extensions that enable solving essential practical tasks efficiently. It is based on PostgreSQL 13.3.

Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 13.2
May 10, 2021, saw the release of Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 13.2 This update includes the latest version of pg_stat_monitor 0.9.0, the statistics collection tool for PostgreSQL. pg_stat_monitor is available as the Tech Preview Feature and is supplied in the set of extensions within Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL.

On May 24, 2021, Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 11.12 was released. This release is based on PostgreSQL 11.12 and includes the extended set of extensions supplied with Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL.

Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL Operator v0.1.0
On May 10, 2021, we released the Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL Operator v0.1.0. The Percona Operator is based on best practices for configuration and setup of a Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL on Kubernetes. The benefits of the Operator are many, but saving time and delivering a consistent and vetted environment is key. Version 0.1.0 of the Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL Operator is a tech preview release and it is not recommended for production environments.

Percona Distribution for MySQL (Percona Server-Based Variant ) 8.0.23
Percona Distribution for MySQL 8.0.23 was released on May 12, 2021. It is a single solution with the best and most critical enterprise components from the MySQL open source community, designed and tested to work together. It is based on Percona Server for MySQL 8.0.23-14.

Percona Server for MySQL 8.0.23-14
Percona Server for MySQL 8.0.23-14, released on May 12, 2021, includes all the features and bug fixes available in MySQL 8.0.23 Community Edition in addition to enterprise-grade features developed by Percona. New features include the ability for users to add calculated/virtual columns + index for the MyRocks storage engine, as well as reconfigure the TLS certificate at runtime and reload the certificate to the X Plugin. Percona Distribution for MongoDB 4.2.14
May 13, 2021, saw the release of Percona Distribution for MongoDB 4.2.14. It’s a collection of solutions to run and operate your MongoDB efficiently with the data being consistently backed up, and it includes the following components:
- Percona Server for MongoDB is a fully compatible open source, drop-in replacement for MongoDB.
- Percona Backup for MongoDB is a distributed, low-impact solution for achieving consistent backups of MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets.
This release is based on Percona Server for MongoDB 4.2.14-15 and Percona Backup for MongoDB 1.5.0.

On May 13, 2021, we released Percona Server for MongoDB 4.2.14-15. It is based on MongoDB 4.2.14 Community Edition and does not include any additional changes.

Percona Backup for MongoDB 1.5.0
On May 13, 2021, we released Percona Backup for MongoDB 1.5.0. It is a distributed, low-impact solution for consistent backups of MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets. This is a tool for creating consistent backups across a MongoDB sharded cluster (or a single replica set), and for restoring those backups to a specific point in time. A new feature in this release is Azure Blob Storage support.

Percona Monitoring and Management 2.17.0
Percona Monitoring and Management 2.17.0 was released on May 11, 2021, and is a free and open-source platform for managing and monitoring MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL performance. Some release highlights include usability improvements to the External Monitoring UI, pg_stat_monitor 0.9.0 support, single-line install of PMM Server on supported Linux distributions (this feature is in Technical Preview), and DBaaS changes.
