Facebook has a variety of different data solutions deployed at scale. Why does it have so many different solutions? When does it decide when to deploy a new one? How does it manage them all? What sort of optimizations are possible across these data systems? This talk gives a survey of different production data solutions in use and methods of querying, with highlights regarding access methods, storage requirements, and other business requirements.
