SQL with MySQL, or NoSQL with MongoDB?
Let's have a discussion about which technology to use. Is it MySQL, MongoDB or both? Then let's go a little bit deeper: which is the right storage engine for your application, business, as a student. This talk will help you learn about the cutting edge technologies. Which one is the "right" storage engine and for which workload, in a world where we hear about new storage engines all the time: 1 - MongoDB (MMAP, RocksDB, WiredTiger, and of course Percona Server for MongoDB) 2 - MySQL (MyISAM, InnoDB, TokuDB, and a new engine called Deep Engine) Maybe there are more that I'm not aware of (I would love to know what they have to offer). "DON'T PANIC" if you are new to these technologies! I promise we will take it easy! (Yeah, I'm not talking about French Montana’s song here!)
