While we are working hard on the final push of Percona Server 5.6 GA (I know that many people are waiting on this, but stay with us – we want to ensure that we have a quality release with great performance), I decided to make an experimental build of Percona Server 5.6 with the TokuDB engine.

If you are interested, please test it and provide us with feedback. If things look good, in couple months we may release an official Percona Server 5.6 with TokuDB.

Does Percona intend to evolve xtrabackup in order to allow backups from TokuDB the same way it does for XtraDB?

Any plans to push tokudb to xtradb cluster? Or is it too much work?
Would it be possible to get a static build of 5.6 + TokuDB? The download is complaining that I don’t have GLIBC 2.10, as we’re on RHEL5.

We do not have plans on Percona XtraBackup to support TokuDB at this moment.
TokuDB backup is available from Tokutek by subscription. This is a good way to support the further development of TokuDB

I am not sure I can do a static binary at this moment and builds for RHEL5 is too painful, it is just too old.
If you are looking to upgrade mysql server, you may consider to update OS too.
