Percona Distribution for MongoDB 4.4.13

Percona Distribution for MongoDB 4.4.13 was released on March 23, 2022. It is a freely available MongoDB database alternative, giving you a single solution that combines enterprise components from the open source community, designed and tested to work together. This release includes improvements and bug fixes, provided by MongoDB and included in Percona Server for MongoDB. The most notable of them are the following:

• Added support for Keys Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) so that users can store encryption keys in their favorite KMIP-compatible key manager to set up encryption at rest. This is a tech preview feature.
• Fixed the issue where having a large number of split points causes the chunk splitter to not function correctly and huge chunks would not be split without manual intervention. This can be caused when having small shard key ranges and a very high number of documents and where more than 8192 split points would be needed.
• Added the repairShardedCollectionChunksHistory command to restore history fields for some chunks. This aims to fix broken snapshot reads and distributed transactions.
• Fixed incorrect logging of queryHash/planCacheKey for operations that share the same $lookup shape.
• Added a new startup parameter that skips verifying the table logging settings on restarting as a replica set node from the standalone mode during the restore. This speeds up the restore process.

Percona Server for MongoDB 4.4.13-13

Percona Server for MongoDB 4.4.13-13 was released on March 23, 2022, and is an enhanced, source-available, and highly-scalable database that is a fully-compatible, drop-in replacement for MongoDB 4.4.13 Community Edition supporting MongoDB 4.4.13 protocols and drivers. Percona Server for MongoDB now supports Keys Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) so that users can store encryption keys in their favorite KMIP-compatible key manager to set up encryption at rest. This is a tech preview feature.

Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 13.6

On March 22, 2022, we released Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 13.6, a collection of tools to assist you in managing PostgreSQL. Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL installs PostgreSQL and complements it with a selection of extensions that enable solving essential practical tasks efficiently. This release is based on PostgreSQL 13.6.

Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 12.10

Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL 12.10 was released on March 30, 2022. It provides the best and most critical enterprise components from the open-source community, in a single distribution, designed and tested to work together. Patroni, pgBackRest, pg_repack, and pgaudit are amongst the innovative components we utilize. This release of Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL is based on PostgreSQL 12.10.

Percona Server for MySQL 5.7.37-40

On March 31, 2022, we released Percona Server for MySQL 5.7.37-40. It includes all the features and bug fixes available in MySQL 5.7.37 Community Edition in addition to enterprise-grade features developed by Percona. Release highlights include a number of the notable updates and fixes for MySQL 5.7.37, provided by Oracle, and included in Percona Server for MySQL:

• The performance on debug builds has been improved by optimizing buf_validate() function in the InnoDB sources.
• Fix for when a query using an index that differs from the primary key of partitioned table results in excessive CPU load.
