What is “Fully Managed” in the Cloud?

Record numbers of businesses are investing in “as-a-Service” (XaaS) infrastructures and moving some or all of their IT infrastructure to public clouds, including moving their databases to the cloud. The cloud promises easy setup, simplified management, guaranteed availability, and on-demand scalability with little to no oversight or hassle. But is it true? This white paper asks the question, “when moving your database to the cloud, should you just let the cloud provider be your database expert? Who in your company is responsible for database performance?” Learn more about what it means to be “fully-managed” in the cloud.
