Biography:

Bernd is the MySQL Cluster engineering director - responsible for leading all MySQL Cluster development. He joined the MySQL organization as of September 2005 and first worked as a solution architect for high available database and cluster solutions and is now responsible for MySQL Cluster development at Oracle. To his credit, Bernhard has designed and programmed data mining software in addition to writing a database core prior to using MySQL databases. The outcome of such work has proven extremely useful in big scale data processing, i.e., for fraud detection at the world?s largest derivatives exchange.
