Description

In MySQL, sharding is one of the most used (and most abused!) MySQL scaling technology. Before employing this technique, it’s important to assess whether sharding is right for your application, or would another scaling technology work better? What specific technologies can assist you with your sharding implementation? Have you answered all the pertinent questions before you start sharding? This talk will examine much of the sharding spectrum and help answer these questions.
