Come listen to how you can correlate Application Events with Database performance using Annotations in this demonstration of Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM). We'll also show off some of the new features available in Grafana 5.0!
In this demo we'll go over how to quickly install and configure Dynimizer, after which we'll optimize a few different MySQL workloads using Dynimizer as a Just-In-Time compiler. We'll observe the overheads incurred during the optimization phase, and monitor several different metrics to determine where the improvements were made after optimization is complete. We'll even take a quick peek under the hood.
With the recent general availability of Azure database services for MySQL and PostgreSQL, customers can now take advantage of community MySQL and PostgreSQL database engines as fully managed services in the cloud. These services come with built-in HA, dynamic scale and industry leading security and compliance. Azure database services for MySQL and PostgreSQL are also integrated with other services, such as Azure App Service and PowerBI, so you can easily build end to end solutions.
See how the idle cores on your hosts can be used to improve the responsiveness of I/O-intensive databases. In this demo, we will see the impact of MaxParallel software in I/O performance.

Do you know that you can deploy Percona XtraDB Cluster (PXC) + ProxySQL with read/write split in one single command in Kubernetes/Openshift?
I will be doing the demo during Percona Live 2018 deploying PXC in Kubernetes, then trying to break it (kill the node) and watch how it
recovers.
TiDB is an open-source distributed, scalable hybrid transactional and analytical processing (HTAP) database that's MySQL compatible. This demo will introduce what is TiDB and show how to spin up a TiDB cluster on your local machine using docker-compose and use MySQL and SparkSQL to do your own HTAP.
