Is it a big event?
Usually, these events are free and low-key, however, in Bengaluru we expect more than 250 participants! They aren’t meant to be a full conference (unlike our Percona Live series). Percona University has a different format. We make it informal, so it’s perfect for learning and networking. This is an in-person database community gathering, so feel free to come with interesting cases and tricky questions!
Does Percona University cover only Percona technology?
No. We will definitely present Percona technology, but we will also focus on real-world technical issues and recommend solutions that work (regardless of whether Percona developed them). The keynote speaker will be Percona’s CEO & Co-Founder Peter Zaitsev. Other Percona experts from India will speak, plus likely a few experts from other Indian tech companies.
