Percona thanks the following prominent community members and business leaders, for their help making this event a neutral and inclusive meeting ground for the MySQL ecosystem. The committee is not yet complete, and several more invitations are pending.

Sarah Novotny

Co-Conference Chair

Sarah is a founder of Blue Gecko, which provides remote DBA services for MySQL and many other database technologies. She is the Program Chair of O'Reilly's OSCON and OSCON Data conferences, and the Chair of the IOUG's MySQL Council.

Brian Aker

Co-Conference Chair

Brian is currently a Fellow at HP. He is the CEO of Data Differential, creator of Drizzle, a Sun Microsystems Distinguished Engineer, and the former Director of Architecture for MySQL. He chaired the conference committee for the 2011 O'Reilly MySQL Conference and Expo.
"I've been involved with every MySQL conference since the beginning in 2003. A number of years ago I coined the term 'the MySQL ecosystem' to express my view that MySQL had moved beyond the definition put forth by MySQL AB. I'm proud to help continue the tradition of a MySQL conference. Please join us in Santa Clara this April."

Kaj Arnö

Kaj Arnö is EVP Products at SkySQL Ab. Prior to that, he was VP MySQL Community at Oracle, Sun and MySQL AB, which he joined in 2001.

Roland Bouman

Roland is a long-time MySQL community member, and former MySQL and Sun employee. He is a Web Application Developer, Information
and Business Process Analyst, and Business Intelligence expert. He has co-authored two books on Pentaho. He works for Strukton Rail.

Ronald Bradford

Ronald is an Oracle ACE Director for MySQL, and an expert in MySQL, Oracle, and Ingres with over 20 years of experience. He is a former
member of the MySQL Inc consulting team (06-08) and Oracle Corporation (96-99). He is the founder of EffectiveMySQL, published author and sought-after conference speaker worldwide.

Mark Callaghan

Mark leads the MySQL development team at Facebook and makes MySQL better for a large deployment. Prior to that he led the MySQL development team at Google. He also worked at Oracle, Identity Engines and Informix on database internals. Mark has an MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Henrik Ingo

Henrik works as Senior Performance Architect at Nokia. He previously worked at Monty Program, and Sun prior to that, with MySQL and MySQL Cluster technologies. He is the author of the book "Open Life: The Philosophy of Open Source (http://openlife.cc) Henrik co-organized the MySQL Community Awards at the 2010 and 2011 MySQL conferences.

Giuseppe Maxia

Giuseppe, aka "The Data Charmer," works as QA Director at Continuent. He's an active member of the MySQL community, former MySQL and Oracle employee, and long time open source enthusiast, with more than 20 years of experience in IT.

Shlomi Noach

Shlomi is a software developer, a MySQL DBA, consultant & instructor. He authors the openark-kit and mycheckpoint open source tools, and blogs at openark.org. He is the 2009 MySQL Community Member of the Year.
