Percona provides support, consultancy and training services in MySQL technologies, and develops several software products to support our global clientele. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our dynamic and growing development team.

The development team works from remote locations around the globe; so the successful candidate needs to be strongly self motivated and able to work well independently, as well as having fantastic communication skills and the ability to function well as a member of a distributed team.

The Development Team at Percona is responsible for (among others):

• Percona Server - a distribution of the MySQL server with additional performance and monitoring capabilities.
• Percona XtraBackup - an online backup tool for InnoDB: supported on MySQL, MariaDB, Percona Server and Drizzle.

You should have a good knowledge of:

• C/C++
• SQL and relational database concepts
• Linux/UNIX

It is an advantage if you have:

• participated in an open source project
• are familiar with open source development
• knowledge of any of: MySQL, Drizzle, PostgreSQL, sqlite, other open source database
• experience in testing and continuous integration
