Edith Puclla (Technical Evangelist, Percona) will be presenting her talk From Unemployed to Technology Evangelist in the Open Source World at KCD Spain 2022 on November 16.

Have you ever wondered how to break into the tech industry? In this presentation, Edith will discuss her Open Source journey and how KubeCon became the trigger of many more opportunities for her personal and professional life as a non-native English speaker and a woman in tech.  She will share what she did to get these opportunities, where she found them, and how to get the most out of them. It will trace her journey from an internship contributing to the Apache Airflow project, as part of the Outreachy program to how she got a job as a Technology Evangelist at Percona. This session will help you get started in the world of Open Source and break into tech.
