Prerequisites:

This is an advanced course, and recommends the minimum of:

  • Experience using MySQL (this course won't cover basics like starting/stopping,
    what a storage engine is).
  • Familiarity with Operating Systems (particularly Linux/Unix).
  • Some programming experience is recommended (any language).

Format:

This course is delivered as a one day intensive. Attendees will be provided with Linux PCs, but given the time restrictions hands on exercises will be limited. Attendees are encouraged to use their own laptops if they prefer. Slides will be provided for students wishing to apply additional study after the course is complete.
