I have been developing, supporting and directing software projects for the last 20 years. For the last few years I have been mainly focused on Windows enterprise server development until I became employed by Percona. Going further back I have been involved with many other projects ranging from OS/X business apps to Windows and Linux kernel/network stack and protocol reverse engineering, classification and optimization techniques to embedded micro-controller applications and some old DOS, OS/2, SCO and NeXT work.
Andrew Hutchings (aka LinuxJedi) is a Master Software Engineer for Hewlett-Packard's Cloud Services division working on the continuous integration and infrastructure for Openstack. He is physically based in the middle of nowhere in the United Kingdom but manages and works with a global development team.
Before joining HP he was a Senior Sustaining Engineer for SkySQL, Software Developer on the Drizzle project at Rackspace and a Senior MySQL Support Engineer for Sun Microsystems / Oracle Corporation specialising in MySQL Cluster and C/C++ APIs. He is also co-author of the book MySQL 5.1 Plugins Development.

I've been working on hacking the MySQL source code, mostly in the area of replication, since 2008 and I am now doing so at Facebook.
Nizam joined Facebook Database Engineering team in 2010. Since then he has been working on improving InnoDB compression and fixing crash recovery bugs. He loves working on MySQL Source Code.
Ryan is a member of the database engineering team at Facebook where he works on improving scalability and performance. He was formerly a video game AI and performance engineer at Rockstar San Diego and Sony Computer Entertainment San Diego Studio.
Razvan works as a software engineer on the site reliability team that maintains Google's largest MySQL installations. He is particularly interested in scalability, databases, computer networks and operating systems, and data visualization. Prior to joining Google at the end of 2009, Razvan earned a PhD in Wireless Sensors Networks from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's and a master's in Computer Science from Politehnica University in Bucharest, Romania.
