Zardosht has been a senior member of Tokutek’s TokuDB engineering team since 2008. Leveraging Fractal Tree Indexing, TokuDB is a high performance storage engine for MySQL that is designed for write-intensive workloads.
Prior to Tokutek, Zardosht worked as a software design engineer at Microsoft on remote terminal services. Zardosht holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While at MIT, he pursued research on cache-oblivious dynamic search trees under Bradley Kuszmaul at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
Massimiliano has worked for almost 15 years in Web Companies playing the roles of Technical Leader and Software Engineer.
Tamar Bercovici is a Senior Software Engineer at Box where she specializes in scaling Box's database architecture and ORM layer. Prior to Box, Tamar was an early-stage employee at XMPie (now a Xerox company), where she drove the development of the award winning uImage product. Tamar holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
Antony Curtis is an advocate of Open Source software and long-time user of alternative operating systems. His involvement with MySQL spans more than 10 years and he was a software developer for MySQL AB from 2003 to 2008.
Linas has extensive experience in developing heterogeneous replication solutions between MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL. Implemented support of MySQL to Oracle/PostgreSQL/Greenplum and, also, replication POC from PostgreSQL to other DBMS. In addition, he is responsible for PostgreSQL clustering at Continuent: Linas has implemented Tungsten support for PostgreSQL 8 and 9, including management of replicas using log streaming. Before joining Continuent, Linas was Head of IT at FBC "Finasta".
Originally from Australia, Luke brings more than ten years of experience and thought leadership in Web development, IT consulting and research. He is an author of the best-selling PHP and MySQL Web Development (Sams Publishing) and MySQL Tutorial (MySQL Press).
Stephane Giron is a Senior Software Engineer at Continuent since 2005.
Shachar Harussi is a system developer with a broad experience in design and analysis of IT and database systems. He has a solid research and development background in design, implementation, and optimization of computation intensive algorithms. He got his PhD in computer science from Tel Aviv University, Israel in 2010. The PhD thesis applied automata theory, compression, and succinct data structures, to achieve query processing optimization in large graph databases. In the last year he joined ScaleDB journey to adopt the traditional MySQL database into a NewSQL cloud database. In this voyage he analyses and optimizes ScaleDB’s core algorithms and scouts for new lands.
