MySQL performance on memory channel storage
4 April 11:00AM - 11:50AM @ Ballroom F
50 minutes conference
Memory Channel Storage (MCS) is the fastest flash technology tested thus far. In this joint session with Diablo Technologies, we will discuss the performance characteristics of MCS and detail its underlying architecture. We will also discuss best practices for deployment with Percona Server and demonstrate that MCS eliminates the MySQL storage bottlenecks faced by pre-existing PCI-express based solid state drive (SSD) solutions. Linkbench benchmarking and other supporting performance results will be disclosed.
Peter joined the European consulting team in May 2012. He also taught many Oracle University MySQL courses. He has been using and working with open source software from early 2000s. Peter's first and foremost professional interest is performance tuning. He currently lives in Budapest, Hungary with his wife and son.
