Slavik Markovich is Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Database Security at McAfee and has over 20 years of experience in infrastructure, security and software development. Slavik co-founded Sentrigo, a developer of leading database security technology acquired by McAfee in April, 2011. Prior to co-founding Sentrigo, Slavik served as VP R&D and Chief Architect at db@net, a leading IT architecture consultancy. Slavik has contributed to open source projects, is a regular speaker at industry conferences and creator of several open source projects like Fuzzor (an Oracle fuzzer) and YAOPC (Yet Another Oracle Password Cracker). Director of Product Management, Amazon Web Services
Sundar Raghavan is the director of product management for Amazon Database services, the creators of Amazon RDS and Amazon DynamoDB. His owns the overall product management responsibility, focusing primarily on optimal customer experience and operational excellence. Prior to this role, he was the chief product and marketing officer at Skytap. He is an industry veteran with a successful 18 year career in product management and software engineering roles at Google, Ariba, Arbor Software (now part of Oracle), and Microstrategy. Sundar holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science and a MS degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Northeastern University.
Prior to starting Clustrix, Paul was the founder and director of engineering at Isilon Systems, where he designed, architected, and developed all of Isilon’s scale-out NAS products while building the company to $100M. Before Isilon, Paul was the development manager for all of RealNetworks infrastructure products. Paul earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
Ori Herrnstadt is co-founder and CTO of Akiban. He has been involved in developing large operational database systems since his days in the Israeli Army. After experiencing common problems of large-scale operational systems in military, healthcare, enterprise ERP, CRM systems and modern web applications, he developed the Orthogonal Architecture. In 2009, he co-founded Akiban Technologies to accelerate the development of the technology.
Brian is currently a Fellow at HP. He was previously the CTO of Data Differential, creator of Drizzle, a Sun Microsystems Distinguished Engineer, and the former Director of Architecture for MySQL. He chaired the conference committee for the 2011 O'Reilly MySQL Conference and Expo.
