HA Redis and MySQL as a Service: Architectural Considerations & Challenges

Software Developer II, Rackspace
Riddhi is a Software Developer on Cloud Databases, Rackspace’s managed cloud MySQL product. She joined Rackspace in July 2014 and has developed features like replication and high availability for Cloud Databases. She enjoys problem solving and python programming. She holds a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Texas and currently lives in Austin.
Database Administrator II, Rackspace
Timothy is a MySQL and Cassandra DBA in the Rackspace Cloud Datastores Engineering team with a primary focus on the Cloud Database platform. He spent 7+ years in the United States Air Force working on a variety of mission systems and eventually found his true passion, database. He has worked at Rackspace in San Antonio, TX for over 5 years, specializing in MySQL benchmarking, optimization, and its development on cloud solutions.
Product Manager V, Rackspace
Steve Croce joined Rackspace in October 2015 and currently works in the DataStores group as product manager for the Cloud Databases, our managed cloud MySQL product. He has over 13 years of experience in the tech industry with roles in hardware and software ranging from development to product management and marketing. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from MIT and now lives in Austin, TX with his wife and two children.
