Kirill & Kostja will present an overview of Tarantool, an open source in-memory DBMS. They will explain why it is cool to have a DBMS in the same address space as your application server, why Tarantool is in fact single threaded and why the in-memory DBMS now features new disk-oriented engine.
Finally, they'll explain, why a no-SQL DBMS now supports SQL.

Biography:

Most of Kirill's experience lay in area of compilers.
He spent almost 10 years hacking GCC, Intel compiler and various binary translators.
We works for last two years on open source DBMS called Tarantool.


Konstantin Osipov

Konstantin Osipov (MailRU)

Biography:

Kostja is a well-known expert in the DBMS world. He spent most of his career developing open source DBMS.
He now acts as the chief architect of the open-source DBMS Tarantool.
