Running MongoDB with containers in Kubernetes with only a little hacking
Last year, I talked about running databases with containers. The benefits were clear, but the actual operations were messy. With the introduction of StatefulSets in Kubernetes, databases finally get first class support! There is no longer a need to mess around with deployment scripts, and manually managing the underlying infrastructure is a thing of the past. Kubernetes now has the ability to automate everything, on-prem and in the cloud! In this talk, I'll cover the pieces you need to automatically set up a MongoDB replica set with containers and deploy it live.
