High Availability

MySQL Cluster is a write-scalable, real-time, ACID-compliant transactional database, designed to deliver 99.999% availability. It provides shared-nothing clustering and auto-sharding for MySQL, accessed via SQL and NoSQL interfaces. It is designed to provide high availability and high throughput with low latency, while allowing for near linear scalability. MySQL Cluster is implemented through the NDB or NDBCLUSTER storage engine for MySQL. In this session we will talk about - Core architecture and Design principles of NDB Cluster - APIs for data access (SQL and NoSQL interfaces) - Important configuration parameters - Best practices: indexing and schema We will also compare performance between MySQL Cluster 7.5 and Galera (MySQL 5.6/5.7), and how to best make use of the feature set of MySQL Cluster 7.5.
