Percona Server for MongoDB 3.6 Beta is now available

Percona Server for MongoDB 3.6Percona is pleased to announce the release of Percona Server for MongoDB 3.6.1-1.0beta on January 23, 2018. Download the latest version from the Percona web site or the Percona Software Repositories.

NOTE: This version is considered BETA quality, and is not intended for use in production. Beta packages are available from testing repository.

Percona Server for MongoDB is an enhanced, open source, fully compatible, highly scalable, zero-maintenance downtime database supporting the MongoDB v3.6 protocol and drivers. It extends MongoDB with Percona Memory Engine and MongoRocks storage engine, as well as adding features like external authentication, audit logging, and profiling rate limiting. Percona Server for MongoDB requires no changes to MongoDB applications or code.

This beta release is based on MongoDB 3.6.1 and includes the following additional changes:

Known Issues:

  • #PSMDB-184 – MongoRocks reindexing collection or repairing database commands can cause inconsistency when doing immediate majority read in a replica set.
  • #PSMDB-185 – MongoDB has its own notion of time, including an expected commit order for transactions that may be inconsistent with the order assigned by MongoRocks. This can cause majority read inconsistencies in highly concurrent environments in replica set mode.

Percona Server for MongoDB 3.6.0-1.0beta release notes are available in the official documentation.
