Percona Live is on Wednesday – thank you to all our sponsors

 | February 14, 2011 |  Posted In: Events and Announcements, MySQL

Percona Live is in only two days away – and we’ve managed to completely sell out (something I predicted earlier).  Before I go into details, I want to thank three sponsors who have been absolutely awesome:

Clustrix is providing an open bar all evening, New Relic is providing all attendees with lunch and Fusion-io is providing Amici’s pizza for the evening.  When signing up, we mentioned in our FAQ that food would not be provided, and I am happy to say that with our sponsors this will no longer be the case.
The details I wanted to share:
  • Registration is closed.  We’re sorry, we will be turning away walk-ins.
  • If you are attending, please arrive promptly at 8:30am for registration.
  • Percona Live will be followed by Ignite Percona.  There are still two tickets left for Ignite Percona, which I expect to go very quickly.  When Ignite Percona sells out, a waitlist will open.  We expect to release more tickets to waitlist attendees in the morning of Wednesday Feb 16th – so please do not shy away from registering.
Ignite Percona is going to be great – I’ve already managed to see most of the slides from our presenters.  Our brave speakers include presenters from Rightscale, Clustrix, RethinkDB, Zmanda, Percona, Continuent, Sphinx Search, Fusion-io, Schooner, Scalr, CouchOne and FathomDB.  (I say brave speakers, because they have exactly 5 minutes to get their point across, and Ignite slides auto advance every 15 seconds.  It’s not the easiest format.).
In addition to the sponsors mentioned above, we would like to thank:

Virident for sponsoring morning coffee/tea.

Continuent for sponsoring coffee/tea in the afternoon.

Facebook for providing a prize for the best ignite talk.

Rightscale.  Their sponsorship helped pay for the cost of the attendee bag, and made this event possible.
See you Wednesday!
