Having already congratulated him, I want to congratulate you, Peter, on getting one of the most dedicated MySQL members in the industry. Well done recruiting!

Are you planning on giving him extra free time to work on maatkit? I’m sure you have a handful of exciting new tools for him to build as well.

I’m sure Baron will have time for maatkit and innotop. We welcome our team members to work on related Open Source projects on company time and we’re also working with various clients to arrange sponsorship for the open source tools so we can get win-win-win for all parties 🙂
