Duration:
50 minutes conference
When we're talking about implementing faceted search, auto completion, misspells correction, finding similar items and simply search across millions documents or goods on the website, MySQL built-in full-text indexes comes in mind. But as your data set grow up it may become a performance bottleneck on your website, which can be solved using Sphinx - search server optimized to run Full-Text queries up to 100 times fasters than MySQL can do. We will talk about best practices in using Sphinx with MySQL, advances search services implementations, discuss queries which are currently running on MySQL side and offload MySQL instances, what would be usual design for busy installations.
