Deva joined HP Cloud Services in 2012. Previously he worked as a Principal Consultant on Percona, with a focus on scalability and performance tuning. He studied computer science at the College of Creative Studies at UC Santa Barbara, and has worked in the internet technology space since '99. Prior to joining Percona, he was the sole DBA at HydraNetwork for several years, and also provided consulting for a number of Southern California startups. He now works from his home in Washington's Olympic Mountains where he lives with his wife and two beloved huskies.
