    Abdel-Mawla is an Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL 5.0 and 5.6 Database Administrator. He joined FromDual GmbH in August 2013 as a MySQL Support Engineer responsible for providing support in many MySQL areas such as MySQL replication, Performance Tuning, Backup and Recovery, system troubleshooting and optimization and Galera Cluster support as well. Before joining FromDual he worked for 5 years as a MySQL DBA and Java developer for one of the biggest book seller companies in UK (The Book Depository) which is acquired by amazon.com. In general, Abdel-Mawla adores working in the database technologies, especially, in the administration part. He is an Oracle Certified Associate Database 11g Administrator and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator as well. Abdel-Mawla lives in Alexandria - Egypt with his wife and two children. In his spare time he enjoys playing piano.

Living in Whitchurch, United Kingdom, he holds a 2nd dan black belt in Ju-Jitsu and, with his Father and Uncle, helps to teach at a local non-profit club with ages ranging from 6+. He also teaches computing to students at a local school using the Raspberry Pi as the platform running Raspbian.
