    Hi,

Can you share some more information like OS/Innobackex versions, ls -al output of backup dir? Are you using encryption for your backup folder?

    Regards,
    Nil

        Hi,

Are you taking backup to nfs mount point? looks like innobackupex tries to copy the file with cp -a to preserve the ownership (mysql:mysql) but it got refused by the storage.

I'm not sure but reportedly, some NFS configurations don't support/allow that. There is one bug already filed for this scenario.
        https://bugs.launchpad.net/percona-xtrabackup/+bug/943750

If this is the case, can you provide some more information?
        - command line which you are running to take backup.
        - fstab and mount -i
