Jaime Crespo

Jaime joined Percona in mid-2012. Before joining Percona, Jaime was an Oracle designated instructor for MySQL and Java platforms, providing training and consulting services for some of the highest performance demanding businesses in Europe. His work ranged from simple master-slave replication setups to NDB Cluster optimizations.

Jaime studied Computer Engineering at the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland), where he worked as a developer and sysadmin, in LAMP and Java environments.

Jaime’s MySQL focus is on query and schema optimizations and solutions for high scalability. He is a certified MySQL DBA, DEV, and Cluster DBA, as well as SCJP, SCWCD and Zend PHP Engineer. His mother tongue is Spanish, but he also speaks English and French.

On a personal note, Jaime currently lives in Saragossa (Spain) and his favorite pastimes are photography, reading and theater.
