Espen Braekken

Espen Braekken leads Percona's America's Consulting team, European Consulting team, and global Support (SSC) team. He has worked in the database industry for more than 20 years, managing teams at Oracle and Amadeus (e-Travel) as well as at several smaller technology companies. Most recently he led a group of agile web developers at Senitel Consulting in Norway.

While living for six years in the USA in the 1990s, Espen worked in Oracle's System Performance Group. Led by Cary Millsap, a recognized expert in Oracle performance optimization, Espen participated in many scalability and performance projects. He utilized leading edge instrumentation and optimization techniques to help solve real world performance problems.

A native of Norway, Espen today lives in Oslo with his wife and two children.
