Alexey Kopytov

Alexey joined Percona in November 2010 as a member of the development group that produces Percona Server, Percona XtraDB, and Percona XtraBackup.

Before joining Percona, Alexey worked in MySQL AB's High Performance group for two years and then in MySQL development at MySQL AB/Sun/Oracle for over four years. He is also the maintainer and, until recently, the sole developer of SysBench, a popular utility for MySQL performance evaluations.

Alexey holds a degree in Mathematics from the Moscow State University. He currently lives in the small town of Chernogolovka, near Moscow, with his wife and their daughter.
